Welcome to the Collegiale Church of Our Lady of Dinant

The parish priest and the parish community are delighted to welcome you.

They invite you to discover this place, to look around, to raise your eyes and let yourself be surprised. And, if you wish, to take a moment to pause, enjoy the silence, or join in the prayer of those who continue to bring this collegiate church to life today.

The collegiate church is first and foremost a place of worship. For centuries, men and women have come here to pray, to celebrate, to reflect, or simply to pause for a moment.

But its history is also closely intertwined with that of the town and its people. It has shared their joys and tragedies, their times of prosperity as well as times of destruction. Damaged and rebuilt more than once, its stones still bear the traces of this long history.

Today, the community invites you to discover this heritage, its history and the works of art it houses.

Whether you are from Dinant or from further afield, we hope you enjoy your visit.

How to follow the visit

The visit is divided into several stops marked throughout the collegiate church. At each stop, scan the QR code with your phone. You can read the commentary or listen to it using your earphones.

Follow the stops in the suggested order, or explore freely at your own pace, depending on your interests and the time you have available.

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere of the church, please set your phone to silent and use earphones for the audio.
